CHILDREN'S SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION Every child who has reached the age of reason (seven) is to be given instruction for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist so that participation in this gift of God's grace may be a free response of faith. Ideally, a child will receive First Reconciliation in second grade and First Eucharist in third grade.
